DETAILS:

Round stoneware dish designed by Carl Halier for Royal Copenhagen. Produced between 1974-1978 and glazed in Royal Copenhagen’s “Sung” glaze. 


MARKINGS:

Royal Copenhagen Denmark stamp with their three signature waves and model number 21821. Incised with the artist’s initials CH.

CONDITION:

Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks or crazing.


ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Carl Hailer (1873-1946) was born in Germany and moved to Denmark when he was 25 years old. Throughout his career, he worked for his own studio, collaborated with other artists such as Patrick Nordström, Arne Bang and Axel Salto and worked at Royal Copenhagen. Halier was a master of glazes and particularly fond of the Sung glaze.
