DESCRIPTION:

Stoneware bowl glazed with crumbling celadon and brown variations. In the shape of plant leaves. Made in Sweden by Rörstrand. Studio pottery from the 1970s. Display on its own or with the matching vase here


MARKINGS:

Incised R for Rörstrand and three crowns with artist initials BL. Original Rörstrand sticker on bowl.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Bertil Lundgren (b. 1934) Is a Swedish sculptor, potter and designer. He worked as a teacher at Malmö School of Art from 1966 and at the Art Industrial School in Gothenburg until 1974. He worked at Rörstrand from 1974-1979 where he primarily with studio production and series produced art objects. Lundgren was also the initiator of Rörstrand’s Museum and was director there from 1976 to 1999.
